Cottage storage

Fitted a bespoke cupboard for a client today, which featured four sliding shelves to the interior. Outside is painted, inside is oiled oak veneer with elements of solid oak. Radiator covers

We're big fans of radiator covers here at OakeyPokey, and ours are rather special. We generally use oak veneer for the sides and frame, which when painted shows the grain through. Made to measure, for any size radiator. With magnetic catches, the fronts are easy to remove and clean. Small bookcase

Between jobs last week, we made a bookcase. It's solid oak and white painted, with veneer to the sides. Solid and chunky, with a contemporary look, it's made to last forever. We thought it would look lovely in either a lounge or a child's bedroom. We don't usually make things that aren't bespoke, but really enjoyed making this. Shelf life

This week we fitted some floating shelves for a client in Northampton. The lounge consisted of 12 x oak veneer shelves, with a solid oak front. They were stained dark to match the clients' existing furniture. Storage unit

Yesterday we fitted a large unit, surrounding a set of double doors. Comprising two matching bookcases with adjustable shelves, the left hand side one has a built in radiator cover with a removable front to allow for access, and the right hand side has a built-in two door cupboard. Alcove units

Yesterday we fitted two alcove bookcases for a client in Northampton. Both made from painted MDF, one bookcase was floor to ceiling (just over 2 metres in height, and approximately 1 metre in width), and the other fitted under an already existing cupboard.
